Earn clinical hours in Jamaica this winter!
Spend one week of clinical time in Jamaica providing care to the people of St. Mary Parish, Jamaica. UE nursing students will be given the opportunity to learn through hands on experience how cultural issues and global diversity impact the delivery of healthcare. They will identify the major challenges presented by communication, biological bases of health, health disparities, and the impact this has on providing culturally-competent healthcare as well as collaborate with other members of the health care team to identify, assess, and plan interventions from a global perspective. UE nursing students will walk away with a newfound respect and unique understanding and appreciation for cultural diversity, as well as the impact finances and the economy of a country have on healthcare.
