The University of Evansville, a small, private institution located in southwest Indiana, has a strong commitment to creating international opportunities for students. Around half of the UE student body goes abroad during their academic career at the university. In addition, the university owns and operates Harlaxton College, a study abroad center located in Grantham, England, which hosts around 400 students each year from Evansville and universities across the US. Thus the Office of Education Abroad occupies a unique space in the world of international education, as it operates as a study abroad office that works with faculty-led and provider programs and as a program provider itself running the admissions side of Harlaxton College.
